Diary 3/15/13

Our neighbors are tapping some old Big Leaf maple trees on our property by the creek.  At a ratio of 40:1, it is alot of work to get a gallon of syrup after cooking down so much sap, but I know they have been doing pretty good this year as the weather has been so nice.  Hope we get a sample soon!
