Diary 10/9/14

I just figured out why the Ruffed Grouse was going up in the laurel tree to roost. That tree is loaded with berries. You can see some in the first picture, the clumps of orange berries to the right of the chicken-like bird.The berries aren't red yet, but that doesn't seem to matter. It is a Bed and Breakfast for grouse!!!
