Diary 12/5/12

My son took this picture of this guy hunting in the snow.  At first we thought it was a Great Horned Owl with his "horns" too wet to stand up.  Now with the help of a bird expert friend, we are thinking it is a Great Grey Owl which is a rarer sighting.  Either way, he is majestic and his look is piercing, probably because my son interrupted his hunt.
