Diary 3/26/12

Swallows were here this morning, but as the scant sun changed to cloudy, windy and cold, they disappeared.  Just another sign that Spring is waiting just around the corner to arrive.  A mallard was swimming on our seasonal pond.  I didn't see a female, just the lone male.  This pond is mainly a flood control feature and will not hold water for long, so I am glad he is just a handsome bachelor.
