Diary 1/17
Cleaned perennial beds around the yard. Saw the sun for a little while and the temperature was around 50 degrees. Nice! As a reward I guess, I trimmed off the old hollyhock spikes and peeled back some rotten comfrey stems and oak leaves to find a surprise: hiding there, two violets blooming bravely by the base of an elderberry tree.
